To find journal articles on a particular subject you will need to use the resources on the Journals and Databases webpage. Databases are huge electronic collections of journal articles, ebooks and reports. Using the subject databases you can search on a particular topic and find relevant research material for your assignments and projects.

The A-Z list (searchable collections of ejournals)

Ejournal collections are not the same as databases, even though you can do simple searches on them. The ejournal collections found using the A-Z lists (ScienceDirect for example) contain fewer journal titles than the databases and are limited to certain publishers. If you wanted to find one or two articles quickly for an assignment, you could do a simple search on a ejournal collection. However, we would not recommend this as you would be missing a lot of relevant material. For more extensive research it is very important to use the Journals and Databases webpage.
