Please check your assignment brief for each unit assessment within the VLE.
Where it is indicated in the assignment brief that Turnitin for Online submission is being used, please follow these quick steps to submit your work online.
Note: If this is your first time using Turnitin, a license agreement appears. Click “I agree” to proceed.
4. A new window opens. You can expand details to find further information relating to the submission including a reminder of the following:
5. Click on UPLOAD SUBMISSION
6. To minimise technical difficulties and make upload quicker, choose to upload your coursework from your desktop/laptop.
Click on Choose File. Select your coursework from your desktop / laptop to upload.
7. The file you have selected now appears in the Submission Title field:
As good practice, delete the file extension name to help prevent any technical issues.
In the example above, this would be removing the text: .docx
File types such as Microsoft Word documents .doc or .docx, Rich text format .rtf, PowerPoint .ppt or .pptx, Portable Document Format .pdf are the preferred file types to use for submission of coursework.
Do not submit coursework files that are Zip files and Apple Pages file formats.
8. Click on Upload and Review.
9. After the upload is in progress, a Preview screen appears.
You have the option to cancel the submission if the wrong file was uploaded (the visual cue helps check the correct file has been uploaded for submission).
If the file is correct, click on Submit to Turnitin
10. Confirmation that your assignment has been uploaded appears at the top of the window of your Internet Browser. Click on DOWNLOAD DIGITAL RECEIPT to save a copy to your desktop should a query arise with non-submission of your coursework. Close the window to exit.
Note: If you have uploaded the incorrect file – select the resubmission icon to restart the upload process.
