Q. Exporting references from Heritage Online to EndNote Online
Go to
Heritage Online
Perform your search
Select the records you require by ticking the boxes to their left
Click on 'Download'
Select format 'EndNote format (.txt file)'
Click 'ok'
Text will appear on screen...
Saving the references:
Highlight the references, click 'copy' and paste into Word.
File - save as, Save as Type: plain text.
You will see a 'File Conversion' pop-up: select 'Other encoding' and 'Unicode' and 'Ok'.
Remove any 'zip' wording in the file names (IT network blocks these).
Once saved go to your EndNote account
Click on 'Collect'
Select 'Import References'
Browse and find your file
Select Import Option
EndNote Import
from the drop-down list
Decide on the Group to add the references to, or create a new one
Click on 'Import'.
You will get a confirmation message to say the file has imported.
Toggle menu visibility
